Time is Money: JCA Answers saves Philabundance two weeks in valuable fundraising time

Philabundance has a small Development staff. They rely on a number of reports from the Raiser’s Edge to track their fundraising progress. As a result, the staff is accustomed to spending lots of time in the Raiser’s Edge. In the past, preparing their main monthly report of revenue by fund took their staff over 12 hours to complete, most of which was time spent trying to get data out of the Raiser’s Edge. To produce this report, their Annual Fund Manager had to run 6 separate queries in order to get all the necessary data, merge everything into a single excel sheet and then match it with Finance. With JCA Answers, she is able to easily create a single report that literally matches Finance’s numbers down to the penny. “It’s really nice to know that the numbers I’m sending are real and accurate and I didn’t have to pull out my hair to get them,” says Tina.
Their grant writers used to spend an entire day pulling data out of the Raiser’s Edge. Now, with JCA Answers the monthly report that used to take their staff 12 hours to complete, takes only 2.5 hours, including the time it takes to write the narratives that accompany the report. This is a savings of about 9.5 hours a month or 114 hours a year. This represents more than two weeks of employee productivity in just one example of usage. Thanks to JCA Answers, Philabundance can spend less time in the Raiser’s Edge, and more time raising money for their mission critical work.
